marie-ruth + patrick = engagement

hello world,

well we are back from our mini vacation/wedding shoot in labrador. we had a wonderful trip and the wedding was amazing. i cannot wait to blog the shots i was able to get of my good friends iona and jay.

anyway more about that later. here are a few favs of the engagement shoot i did with marie-ruth and patrick a little over a week ago. they are getting married in september. we found this cool little yellow building and also hit up a skate park for some cool shots.

janique & pascal are engaged

well as you can see i have changed the look of my blog again. i wanted to build something a bit different that has a clean and modern look. anyway i think i'll be sticking to this one for a little while.

a couple weeks ago i met up with janique, nathan and pascal to take some engagement pics. janique and pascal are getting married in august at the National Arts Centre here in ottawa.

another engagement for ya!! i actually shot this engagement last night. joan-ann and derek are getting married in 2 weeks in fairmont le chateau montebello.

i had so much fun shooting this engagement, lots of laughs.. thanks joan-ann and derek for putting up with all my chatter and for venturing out into the unknown.

victoria + ian = engaged in kingston!!

hello all,

yes another destination engagement shoot, this time in beautiful city of kingston, ontario. just short of three weeks ago(i know i'm way behind on blog posting, but i have been very busy) i drove down to kingston to meet victoria and ian to shoot some engagement pics. the downtown area of kingston is very historic and it was nice to shoot in some different locations that i have not been before. victoria and ian are getting married in kingston on july 12th at the radisson hotel.

rebekah + seth = engaged!!

hello everyone,

lots of engagements coming up on the blog. last wednesday i met up with rebekah and seth to shoot at carleton university where they both met. they just actually finished finals the day before the shoot. they gave me a tour around campus and showed me these cool tunnels where they keep the lockers.

line + dominque = engaged

well lots of engagements coming up as wedding season is underway. its going to be one very busy summer, i'm totally pumped, especially if all of my shoots turn out like the one below.

this past sunday julie butler(awesome photographer) and i met up with line and dominque to shoot the engagement. julie is second shooting with me for line and dominque's wedding thats coming up in may.

it was great shooting with julie and line and dominque where great and so much fun to shoot. we are going to have a blast at the wedding.

amanda + mike = engaged

hello all,

welcome to the new blog site!! i was tired of having both a web site and a blog so i decided to keep everything here. everything i have on the web site is also here minus a few galleries that i'll be adding over the next few days. you'll notice some pages are still in construction, i'll be working on that as well.

chantale + derrick = engagement session with the great 'andrew geddes'

hello all,

this time its me and my beautiful wife to be 'chantale' being photographed!! the very talented andrew geddes and his apprentice 'shauna' were kind enough to shot some pics for chantale and i this past saturday in the glebe. andrew is an amazing photographer with a great eye and personality to boot. he totally makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and you completely forget that your even being photographed. thats a true sign of a great photographer. we had so much fun running around the glebe looking for cool locations and backdrops. andrew tried some cool off camera flash stuff and the results were awesome, be sure to check out his blog for more his work.

thanks again shauna and andrew!! its was a great experience and chantale and i appreciate it so much that you were able to squeeze us into your busy schedule.

chantale and i are to be married march 15th in VEGAS at Ceasars Palace. Many of my clients always ask 'who is going to shoot your wedding?' well byron brydges and his wife maureen are trekking down to vegas with us to capture the nuptials. i have been a huge fan of byron's work for a long time and we are so pumped to have him and his wife capture our special day. so be sure to check back to see images from the VEGAS WEDDING!!! and no, elvis is not going to be doing the ceremony

kelly + sean = chilly lifestyle shoot

hello all,

the winter's here in ottawa can get real cold, especially downtown. the wind seems to get tunneled between the buildings. last saturday i met up with kelly and sean who were true sports and battled the cold wind to get some great images. we started on the canel to take in some of the winterlude action.

i'll be shooting kelly and sean's wedding in pembroke in april, i cannot wait!! thanks guys for toughing it out and being patient with me trying to find some shelter from the winds.

michele + eric = lifestyle engagement

hello all,

just finished up a few images from michele and eric's engagement session which i shot today with the new d3. michele and eric are getting married march 1 at the west carleton wedding and banquets. they are so much fun to hang out and they look so good in front of the camera. thanks guys for being troopers trekking through the snow.

for you photographers out there, the d3 is awesome.. the full-frame was kinda weird at first, all of these images were shot with an 85mm at various iso's. i didn't shoot much in low light so i didn't try any at 6400.
